WoundClot™ hemostatic gauze is designed as a sterile, single use hemostat, made of cellulosic structure.  When exposed to water, blood or exudates, is transformed within seconds into a gel state. WoundClot™ is very flexible, light and easy to handle, allowing trained personnel easy and quick application. The formed gel is firm and adhesive, allowing for the management of even arterial bleeding for a sufficient duration, allowing the natural clotting mechanisms to form a stable clot. The stable yet flexible gel retains its integrity for an extended period and can be easily removed as needed with water or saline.
